Film by Scotland the Big Picture - 'Why not Scotland?'

30 March 2024

Starts: 19:30

Saturday 30 March   7.30         Eden Court

Tara Mann of Scotland the Big Picture writes

As we stand at a vital crossroads in the future of our land and seas, Why Not Scotland? explores the Scottish landscape through the eyes of Flo, a young Scot from Glasgow. Seeing the depleted state of nature across her own country, Flo feels dispirited and, like many of her generation, increasingly fearful about an uncertain future.

However, on a journey around Europe, Flo encounters a different story, finding places where nature is making a dramatic comeback, revitalising human communities. Encouraged by these stories of hope and renewal, she is prompted to wonder: if this is possible elsewhere, then Why Not Scotland?

You are invited to join us at the film screening taking place on 30th March at Eden Court, Inverness. The screening begins at 7.30pm and the film will be followed by a short panel session to discuss the issues raised. Spaces are limited, so to avoid missing out, please reserve your place (This event is now fully booked, but you can email via the same link to add your name to a reserve list).
